What the Buddha taught is usually called the Dharma. This is His explanation of how to live a spiritual life in harmony with the Deepest Truth of Life, and His wise advice about how to understand and deal with the difficulties and dissatisfactions we might encounter in our own daily life.

The Dharma has been studied and put into practice by generations of followers all the way back to the time of the Buddha, who lived more than 2500 years ago. From the experience and understanding arising from deeply putting the Teaching of the Buddha into practice, the Dharma has expanded and broadened to include the valued teachings of many others since the time of the Buddha.

We have gathered together on this website writings and articles that give examples of, and help to illuminate, what the Buddha taught.
